Guest guest
Any abnormality in the body can turn dangerous but a fatty liver is easy to fix. Use 1500 mg. of L-carnitine twice a day. Cut all fats out of your diet except olive oil, ghee, omega 3-6-9... Good luck.... Noel Gilbert

Guest guest
Hi Mayuri ... Any decent health food store should carry it, or you can find it online. You're going to need "Red yeast rice" to lower your Cholesterol, Which you can get for the same source. ... Noel... Guest guest
no offense to Noel intended but i STRONGLY suggest all of you avoid red rice yeast it is far from being a natural product - rather, it is a highly purified and concentrated extract that is one step away from being a statin this was the basis of a court challenge by the makers of drugs like lipitor, zocor etc. to get it off the market it does EXACTLY the same thing as these drugs, namely, inhibition of cholesterol on a cellular basis this is a recipe for disaster, because it also inhibits a number of other key players in metabolic function, like CoQ10 cardiomyopathy and neuropathy are very real risks read more: http://www.second-opinions.co.uk/statin_index.html anyway, the whole notion that serum cholesterol is an accurate predictor of cardiovascular disease is highly flawed epidemiological studies such as the honolulu heart study have consistently showed that it is a poor indicator of cardiovascular disease, and further, people who have the lowest cholesterol readings have the HIGHEST risk of morbidity (illness) and mortality (death) from cardiovascular disease read more: http://www.second-opinions.co.uk/cvd_index.html the focus on reducing cholesterol is another example of myopic and highly prejudiced cause and effect relationships observed by big drug companies that want to maximize their profit - in my opinion red rice yeast is an unethical approach used by the "natural" products industry to cash in on the hype - pure and simple for CDV i think it is wise to stick to an ayurvedic approach, and treat manifestations of deranged kapha (blood viscosity), pitta (inflammation) and vata (capillary/arterial damage) On Feb 2, 2005, at 8:31 AM, ayurveda wrote: > "Noel" <sattva > RE: Fatty Liver > > > Hi Mayuri ... Guest guest
mayuri, i missed the description of your issue anyway, where do you live? maybe we can find a practitioner close to you you need to find guidance from a knowledgeable person that can monitor you this list isn't designed to give you free medical advice, its about developing self-knowledge there is a difference i for one am not sure you'll be the wiser for taking red rice yeast and L-carnitine first: educate yourself about your condition read about fatty liver here: http://www.emedicine.com/med/topic775.htm and come back with your questions > Mr, Todd , > Now i am tottaly comfused.
