Guest guest
I wanted to share with the group an event when I faced acute headache only in the left half (Migraine ?) and was able to get rid of it in about half day. The causes of the problem were three. Jetlag from a 28 hour flight against the sun from San Fransisco to Mumbai; little or no sleep for three consecutive nights and exposure to severe winter of USA and Canada compared with the temperate weather of Mumbai. The pain started a few hours before reaching Mumbai and was strong enough to denly me sleep on the night of arrival. The regimen adopted next morning to get rid of the pain was as follows. A strong tea (Kwath) of Adulsa, Tulsi, Sunthi, Black pepper and Yashtimadhu first thing in the morning; Jalneti; Kapalbhati; Nasyam of Anutail; and little balm for immediate relief. The concerted attack on the pain was mounted to get me ready to face 3000 visitor to our stall in a herbal exhibition that day. By noon the pain almost evaporated. I must add that I dont have a chronic problem. In fact this was the first ever incident. Hence dont know if this will work with chronic cases. Vaidyas can comment. Guest guest
Dear Vinod The headache you get is' Ardhavbhedak". It often is a chronic problem associted with sinusitis. It is noted that it increases by exposure to very cold or hot climate. It is common in hypertensive & stress related working people having digestive disorders. Because of above things blood capillaries get constricted & blood flow decreases to certain area & symtoms like pain (headache) vertigo, diminished vision starts. If someone gets repeated attack of the episode then you will have to find the root cause and then take treatment. Otherwise take preventive care while exposure to cold or hot climate. Don't take mental tension, give proper attention to bowels. Black pepper with Gorakhmudi will be very helpful. "pathayadi Yog " is a very good medicine for migrane. To treat from root level get shiro basti done every year according to the month of birthdate Regards Nikhil
