Would you please tell me what the Ghee bath is? I would love to try it.

Dear Sherry;

Forgive the response delay, I have been out of town for postpartum

care job. Perhaps you saw the wonderful photos in the link Cybervaidya

offered, one of which is a clinic administered ghee bath in which a

clay or dough form is created around the eyes to hold the ghee in place.

I do a simple eye cup ghee bath (reminds me, my eyes would like this

soon again!) - maybe 1/3 full of warm not hot ghee (I do both eyes at

same time) and arrange yourself so any spills will not be problematic.

I do not have a timing for it, several minutes with eyes open/closing

is good, then wipe off excess from outside of face and retire for

thenight. More often I will just put several drops in my eyes and

open/close for a while or retire with it, just wiping excess. Your

vision will be blurry immediately after, but not terribly. It is a

good time to sleep and your eyes will be clear in the morning. The

ghee draws toxins from the eyes as well as lubricating, and is very

soothing and cooling. You will be surprised!
