Guest guest Posted January 11, 2005 Report Share Posted January 11, 2005 Dear Dr. Bhate, On your last post about Sesame oil, I have a question on your statement about not using cottonseed, palm and sunflower oils. I can understand why you mentioned cottonseed and palm because I understand they have high levels of saturated fats. I cannot understand why you said not to use sunflower oil. They have high levels of unsaturated fats. We also eat them and by every source I know of they are considered healthy food. I do know that one should not cook with sunflower oil. If we use cold pressed sunflower oil in it's natural state, then why would it be unhealthy. By the way, I rarely if ever use sunflower oil.
