HI Dave

I will recommend a more spiritual approach.

In Yoga sutras of pantanjali 2.33 it says the following "When

negative feeling restricts us, the opposite should be cultivated".

This can easy be achieved through Ayurvedic yoga through 3 steps.

If you hate someone you should cultivate the opposite i.e. love.

1st step/VATA: You see the problem. Let us say that the problem is

that you hate somebody. We do not dwell in this step.

2nd step/Pitta-. Here you cultivate the opposite i.e. Love.

To impress the subconscious with the desirable state of love you must

assume the feeling that would be yours had you already realized your

wish. You cannot fail unless you fail to convince yourself of the

reality of your wish. It is good to practice this just before you

sleep.

3rd step/Kapha- This is the manifestation of love in you. This

manifestation is automatically taking place when you have

accomplished 2nd step/Pitta. It is like when the food is digested

(Pitta) it will automatically build up your tissues(Kapha)

Ayurvedic massage with sandalwood oil could be nice too.

brahmi, jatamansi, lotus and rose plus others to suit the individual

constitution/vicrity. It would be important to consider when dealing

with such emotions, the root cause, and consider some sort of

psychotherapy.

well as these intense emotions. Is there addiction? ect. The

treatment would be very individual.
