Guest guest
Dear list members, my name is Voja, and I'm new in this group. Could someone please give me some advice how to improve my health situation? I have Neurosarcoidosis. Now my situation is not so bad, but it is very stubborn. I'm on Prednison more than 4 years, and don't know for how long more. If someone has some good advice I would be thankful. Best wishes, Voja
Guest guest
hi Voja prednisone is at best at short term solution - four years is too long and will play into the dynamic of the disease because it suppresses the immune response and weakens the integrity of the body depending on where you are located, you could find some knowledgeable practitioners to help you, because it is really beyond the scope of public list like this to offer you the kind of support you need from an ayurvedic perspective, neurosarcoidosis could relate to an affliction of the majja dhatu (nervous system) from the accumulation of ama (toxins) in the nervous system, which in turn, vitiates the doshas in this location; thus, from a point of principle, the treatment would be to dispel ama, balance the doshas (identified by your signs and symptoms), and restore majja from a functional medical perspective, the cause is the same, just different terms and concepts: weak digestion-->intestinal permeability-->immune response-->inflammation there will be some things that you will need to dramatically change in your life - you must look for underlying causes such as diet, and take proactive and decisive measures implementing an amapachana diet will be of great help, but in autoimmune disorders like this, my general recommendation is to avoid all agricultural food products to start, simply to identify possible antigenic triggers (i.e. ama); this unfortunately will include many favorite foods, including grain, dairy, legumes and sweets attention should be directed to digestive function, ensuring proper elimination via the liver and bowels, and reducing any inflammation in the mucosa - in other words, avoid harsh laxatives and use something that restores digestion while healing and soothing the digestive tract dosha-specific remedies might be combined with medhya rasayanas (nervous system restoratives) > I have Neurosarcoidosis.
