Dear Members,

WE have seen this controversy in posts Nos. 2507, 2517, 2527, 2529,

2541, 2935, 2939, 2944, 2946, 2948, 2949, 2950.

Yes, ayurvedic medicines use metals. Other than metals, some of the

most deadly poisons are also used in ayurvedic drus, after killing

their toxicity, take Kuchala for example. Castor oil itself has some

mild poison, which cures some Vata diseases.

Ayurveda was almost being forgotten by health providers, till

interest was revived by toxins in alloptahic drugs.

Modern science community tried to suppress the truth whenever

alternate inexpensive herbal or other methods were proposed,

practiced and success demonstrated. Western world is well known for

such occurances. To cite an example let us discuss Essiac, the

formulation which cured several cancers in Canada.

Essiac (es-ee-ack) is an herbal tea remedy attributed to Rene Caisse

(reen-case) of Canada

Canadian Nurse Rene M. Caisse claimed the source of her recipe was an

old Indian medicine man. Rene treated cancer patients with her Essiac

remedy for 50 years, Rene M. Caisse Cancer Clinic operated from 1935

until 1941.

Rene Caisse named her herbal remedy "Essiac" after backward spelling

of her last name. Information and education about essiac including

the history, herbs, recipes, available books, controversial issues

and product prices for comparison shopping are available on

http://essiac-info.org/

Though she tried for approval of this drug for nearly 12 years, vested interests

of MNCs prevented the approval. According to the FDA, there are no scientific

clinical studies that

prove Rene Caisse's formula cures, alleviates or prevents any disease

or condition. Essiac stories and testimonies are not medical proof!!

To prove that a certain drug can cure some disease, hospitals,

universities and MDs must conduct double blind clinical trials in

controlled groups and statistical evidence must be obtained. This ensures that

the bandwagon of academicians, practitioners of modern medicine and MNCs can not

be disturbed by anybody, since he has to approach the bandwagon and obtain a

costly approval.

But, friends, we have seen that such trials often disprove what an

earlier trial had concluded. and why people should trust such results

when often trials are funded by the benificiaries only. The drug

multinationals (MNCs) wish desired outcomes of the trials should be

published by MDs, Profs and University academicians. The message on

this list just before this message tells how undesitable outcome is

dealt with. Most of the "successful drug" scientific literature is

ghost written by academicians/professionals on the pay-roll of MNCs.

This consclusion is drawn by a trustworthy professional trind to find

the war against suicidal and leading to divorce effects of anti-

depresants.

If ayurvedic meds contain metals, so far not a single case has been

proved where someone died or become unstable in mind by consuming

ayurvedic drugs. If a wrong medicine or excess dosage is taken, patient receives

adequate warning by consequential weakness, burning sensation in stomach, other

organs, especially urination and passing motions. Most of the patients taking

allopathic medicines come with such complaints to ayurvedists.

On the other hand several suicides/homicides are caused by

allopathic drugs calss SSRI. Many deaths can not be proven, but it is

now believed that long term use of anti-hypertensives, anti-diabetic

drugs etc leads to renal failure. This spreading has occured by

whispers from one patient to other. Kidney just reaches exhaustion

while flushing out heavy toxins in those drugs.

FDA also now agrees and warns women on its site against Cancer risks

due to HRT. You can obtain better explaination of why a large

proportion of U.S. women suffering from breast cancer or ultimately

leading to hysterectomy on:

Since ayurveda is picking up fast in west, the potential threat is

being countered by MNCs using articles by MDs, WebMDs etc. If

population wishes to get mislead this way, it is better for oriental

world, since their precious herbal resources will be preserved.

Already many rare herbs have come to "disappearing" state in Himachal

Pradesh, U.P., Uttaranchal states of India. Poaching by greedy

commercial minded men is the cause.

Ayurveda did not evolve through clinical trials, pharmacies, FDA etc. Ayurveda

is a philosophy of life, science of longevity, restraint on food, behaviour,

thoughts, yoga techniques, etc. It is not medical science in the connotation of

the word medicine. Since basic aim was the welfare of humanity, the properties

of the herbs, naturally occuring minerals etc was documented through

discussions, oral communication etc. No journals, scientific literature,

conferences having cocktail dinners etc.

Ayurveda can not be understood by reading about it on Net, getting a

4-6 year degree, or spending a year or two in India, after a degree

in west. Years of practice, meditation, humbleness to super power and

ultimately, "I treat but he cures" attitude is needed to understand

ayurveda in depth.

Members of this list are requested not to go by few messages here,

but research for yourself. What can not appeal to self logic, or can

not be experienced by self, is not true knowledge. True knowledge may

not be expressible in words. Ayurvedic texts mention that not every

disease needs to have a name. If a Vaidya can assess the unbalance of

three doshas, he should try to restore balance. And most important, if he feels

disease as incurable, he should not treat it. While modern science has no option

to leave someone dyeing, as relatives/friends request to use life support

system. Two sciences are poles apart.

Author is happy to note that some western MDs who are true humanitarian

professionals, despite obtaining modern science degrees, are practicing

naturopathy or taking a lead role in exposing the drug mafia consisting of MNCs,

professionals etc.
