Guest guest
Dear Merevita and Todd; FYI, I must clarify my reference to Dr. Gary Young's work was not a definitive protocol reporting as well as properly represent his credentials. Dr. Young is one of the world experts in therapeutic uses of essential oils and regularly goes to/presents at the international conferences on the subject held, it seems usually in France. His work over many years has earned him tremendous respect and tremendously successful results, being duplicated at independent university/s. That clinc in the US (Utah) now directed by an MD, with full alternative medicine staff alongside the uses of essential oils is fully legal and visible to considerable scrutiny. What they use as a carrier in this dental injection situation, I do not know (most likely some lipid based yes due to the intensity of these particular oils). They certainly are aware of the influences on different tissues! >injection in the gums of essential oil ? i know that they must be diluted not to use pur, they irritate the mucosa and can be very dangerous There is also a small group of yes fanatics who will do anything and are quite organized to beat down not only Dr. Young, but Dr. Chopra, Andrew Weil, and a host of other leading alternative physicians at their quack watch site/forum. The stories they tell are simply and legally verified untrue, but people will bellieve if it is all they hear. I don't know if this is your source as I do not know this Dr. Masson. Merevita, there are many doctors recommending to not use ANY essential oils topically, pure, except for maybe 5 - 6 of them, included our dear Dr. Jyoti Miller in Florida, who teaches about essential oils. (I beleive she was challenged by some lawsuit, as well as using a range of quality of essential oils, cheaper ones for her line of scent/perfumes). I have used all but a few of mine on occasion undiluted for years with only the forgotten rule about sunburn from using Bergamot on my throat the night before. Some are more intense than others, and the rule is dilute with massage oil, not water in this case, and standardly recommended to dilute similarly the stronger ones. This rule to always dilute with oil is wise when you do not know the true quality/source. > ... quality is also such a big importance, ... not recommending you attempt!> Does that help? Of course clove, oregano and the like are intense on the mucosa and care must be taken. > It is not matter of the quality but the essential oil itself woud be like a fire if used pur. Doctor Masson sed that many times he met people that have developed ulcera Again, it is because of not only improper use protocol, but because: most essential oils have both the petrochemical pollutants from growing and the solvents from washing last distilling of the equipment, as well as other impurities not regulated by the governments. Essnetial oils here in US are regulated by perfume industry and lavender oil bottle can say 100% pure lavender and have minimum 5 or 10 percent only, it can be not organic, and it can even be synthetic. Rest can be any carrier, can include lavendin, etc. of this message have been removed] KInd Regards; Martha
