Guest guest
Dear Ayurvedic community experts; A young boy of 10 is suffering from chronic bedwetting and still undescended right testicle. His mother has asked if there is any advice. She has recently discovered the accupressure point on the ankle for this testicle and finds it very tender; is rubbing it with essential oils as he can tolerate. Thanks for any advice; Martha
Guest guest
Bed wetting and undescended testicle may or may not be linked. Some children wet the beds because their bladders are not capable of holding back the urine until next morning. Some because they have psychological problems from either early separation from the mother or from anxiety of sleeping alone. Some wet because of their dreams. Undescended testicle has its own separate problems. The testes descend because it needs colder atmosphere for spermatogenesis. The abdominal temperature is much warmer than that of the surrounding. The least it could do is low sperm count and sterility. On the other hand, it can cause cancer of the testes. If one is undescended, it may not result in a low sperm count, but if both are undescended, it will definitely result in it. Rubbing accupressure point is not a bad beginning. But, if you do not see a result within a week or so, you must consult a surgeon. Durgesh Mankikar,MD

His mother has asked if there is any > advice A boy aged 8 years and with undescended right testicle was cured using PanchGavya medicines in approximately four months. The testicle descended slowly and at the end of four months, there was small noticeable difference in the level of both testicles. Vajrasana was also used with slight modifications in this case. Light massage in groin area with Aswagandha oil at bed time may also have contributed to the ultimate result to some extent. But ayurveda being not laboratory, numbers reg. what contributed to what extent is difficult to say. Bed wetting was not a problem here. Author is aware that this does not help you since PanchGavya medicines are not exported. But the objective of this post is to propogate the message that Panch Gavya medicines are giving miraculous results in the land of ayurveda. For cases involving bed wetting, the dhatu building herbs approach works in majority of cases. A ready-to-use formulation is "Amivita Forte" from Unjha Pharmacy, Ahmedabad, India, which author has used with success. Guest guest
Dear Drs Mankikar and Bhate; Thank you kindly for your responses. I have shared with the mother and contacted the pharmacy by email, but see a mercury compound in the AMIVITA FORTE (Capsules). Do you know anyone in this country (USofA) who may have some in stock, or something similar? Please feel free to contact me offline about it if possible. I will give her recipe and herbs to make the tailam to use also. SHe is a very dedicated mother who will do anything to avoid surgery and I want to be able to support her. The ankle point is still painful when worked, so she is continuing over some weeks now (was advised of the 1 week then contact doctor).
