Guest guest
Dear greatesttenor, Diabetes is a very complicated disease and requires personalised attention whatever the pathy you adopt. Also it is not a condition which will go away if you come to stay in India (or any other country for that matter) for a short time and are not ready to make changes in your lifestyle. I do beleive good ayurvedic care is available in Australia. Try this out first. One of our group member Michele who is from Adelaide, Australia will be able to help you out on this one. Her e-mail address as listed in the Contact List is zenwahine Also I am giving a few links for you to try out so that you can get good ayurvedic care in Australia itself. http://www.ayurveda.com.au/Ayursite1/ayurveda/navigation.html http://www.allayurveda.com/learn_abroad.htm http://www.vedanet.com/Resources_Ayurveda.htm Cybervaidya
Guest guest
As you know diabetes is not a curable disease but can be controlled and managed very well through Ayurveda. It is important as much important to control the diabetes as prevent the complication of diabetes such as diabetic retinopathy, diabetic neuropathy, diabetic nephropathy, diabetic myopathy, etc. Ayurveda approaches through Ahara Vihara Pathya (M odification in food and life style). Avoid direct sugar and fatty food stuffs, milkproducts other than buter milk.Include more vegetables in diet.Caring of foot and washing with mild hot water every night helps to prevent diabetic foot ulcers. Application of medicated oil over whole body and mild hot water bath twice or thrice in a week helps to prevent diabetic neuropathy. As you mentioned moderate walking and mild exrcise is very important in control of diabetes. All these complications can be occured if the diabetes is not evaluated and managed properly. Medicines adviced: 1 Nishakathakadi powder 5 gm twice daily with butter milk 2 Abraka bhasma mixed with vanga bhasma 1 gm daily 3 Hinguvachadi powder 5 gm with hot water twice daily 4 Turmeric powder mixed with dried goosberry powder 5 gm twice daily Dr A M ANVAR PUNARNAVA AYURVEDA HOSPITAL KOCHI ,KERALA EMAIL:punarnavacochin punarnava
