Guest guest
Dear Deana; Your persistent enquiry will bring fruit, do not give up searching for answers because they are there for you. But do take Todd's advice and look at the recent and archived postings on the subject. sometimes when we get scared we are more willing to listen .... Abnormal symptoms such as your pap smear are signs the multi-leveled disease process is some distance into development to the point the allopathic docs can find something and give it a name. As I recall that usually is about stages 5 or 6 in the samprapti, the stages of accumulation and manifestation of problems "disease". Your lifestyle habits and diets are definitely preventing much improvement and a quite talk with your highest Self and Divine by whatever name is in order, in my optinion, that you are willing but can't see how yet to make the needed changes. Having that quite seed of openness to the best will make ways little and bigger more apparent to you as the days and months go by. Then set about re- organizing your priorities, your daily routines and commitments, yes and cooking and shopping lists to be able to accomodate good health and longevity for your family. This is my best advice for you, dear one. I'm sure the docs online will have more specific, as proper use of herbs and ama reducing srategies are going to help a lot as you make the more difficult to change lifestyle adjustments. Your cook once for a week or month plan is very unhealthy, as is frequent use of red meat. Raw fruits are fine, but with such high vata and ama, you really need mostly cooked foods. The tea such as the recipe you have for ama will help in lieu of so many soups (think warm liquid with digestive ama reducing spices). Make this fresh daily, please! My father, a medical doc, once did a demo home experiment with me to show me the price of a few herbs soaking in water for a day, 2 days, etc. Under the microscope, wow, so many little critters growing. > >Agni is about the burning up of what your receive and conversion into useable energy. Your appetite and energetic wisdom and vitality, you could say are all part of it in the bigger picture. It literally means fire, and is considered the sacrificial fire of Life. The language of Sanskrit, oldest on the planet, is a name and form language. The quality of the sounds in the language give the vibration of the meaning. Isn't it amazing? It is a powerful language. The closure of the sounds from AHH to G is a distinct but, alive closure which is like the effect of chewing or burning up (ref the liion like facial shape when making Ga!). Agnis are also reference name to the many digestive, tissue, and other enzyme proccesses in the body for transformative chemistry. The more awake we are and integrated awareness with our body-temple, the more our enthusiasm for life is in touch and harmony with our own body's needs. Again, I'd order both the psyllium and shatavari from Banyanbotanicals.com for quick, quality product and shipping at good prices. Chai type spices are the same ones I've mentioned before and include those in your ama tea recipe, such as gingers, pepper, clove, cardamom, licorice, fenugreek, fennel, cinnamon, anise, even cumin is sometimes used. Re the home Panchakarma, ask me again after a month or so of working with the tea, lifestyle changes, and herbs. I do not believe you are ready yet. Although to begin to get familiar with kitchari or kitchadee or kichari (India has many spelling translations of the same preparation, including shitavari, with a w, another a, etc). Please research one of the many wonderful ayurveda sites. Maharishi Ayurveda has such recipes, I know. Blessings; Martha
Guest guest
I made my first soup today. had to use what I have in the house because we only go shopping once a month. Anyway, it turned out better then I though it would. Here is my concoction.. :-) Bring to a boil 1 cup water, added 4 small slices of garlic, 1 diced potatoe (skin on) 1 diced dried organic tomatoe, 3 fresh green beans chopped. 1 thin slice of ginger, 1/2 tsp fennel, 1 pinch of cayene pepper, salt and pepper. Cover and simmer 7 mins. I at it with a flour soft tortila for dipping. Tastes pretty good ) Not like anything I have ever had that is for sure.
