Sat Nam Doctor Bhate,

I would appreciate if you could send me an address to Ayurvedic professionals in

Spain. A friend of mine got Hepatitis C at a hospital two years ago. It has

remained actived since then. She has kept on with her medication and diet since

then but in her last test she has been told that she has a liver cirrosis. She

is under regular basis treatment but also very depressed. She is 46. I have

suggested her and her aunt (she does not have any more family) that we could ask

for advice into Ayurveda. They have agreeded but I need counseling. I would not

like her to go to anyone who has an ad in the paper. This is very serious and she

needs a real doctor. Could you please give us a piece of advice?. Thank you for

your help.

Dear Gurusher Kaur

Already many good suggestions have come from Dr Vidhyasagar, Vinod,. It is always difficult to relate diseases named by modern

science with those mentioned by ayurveda, on one-to-one

correspondence. In general Liver damage is the result. I find that

85% of modern patients have at least some liver toxic loading and

slow-down. Thanks to all pesticide residues, allopathic medicines,

mineral deficiencies throgh iodized salt and white sugar plus

stimulants such as alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, etc.

We ayurvedists try to find closest possible match by comparing

symptoms, indications.

First of all you will never meet a real doctor on net. In ayurveda,

oral communication with patient is given the last preference while

doing diagnosis. Seven other tests take precedence. Hence getting

exact diagnosis is quite difficult.

Do not be threatened by the name "Hepatitis-C", an unknown or

difficult to treat virus.

In one case, a patient with renal failure who was undergoing weekly

two Haemo dialysis. He picked up Hep-C virus in the hospital. At

least that is what hospital doctor told him. He was already under

PanchGavya medicines for "renal failure".

In ayurveda, after diagnosing this case as a slightly complex

jaundice, he was treated with:

Arogyavardhini Ras 2 - 2 Tab (125 mg each tab)

Punarnava Mandur 2 - 2 Tab ( " " )

Navayas Loha Bhasma 2 - 2 pinches

Kutajarishta 3 - 3 tsp with equal warm water.

For food: Khitchri (Rice+green gram 1:1 ratio), fresh buttermilk

which is not sour, sugarcane chewing thrice a day.

Patient partially recovered hunger at the end of first week and

recovered strength within one month. However, the medicines were

continued for one more month to detoxify the liver and restore spleen

(which was enlarged) completely.

In remote help of this nature, one should not simply follow this kind

of suggestions and best help can be sought from "real doctor". Todd

has already given you the address.

Wishing your friend best health
