Guest guest
In Tamil Nadu there is a temple in Tanjore district where saint Dhanvanthri is laid down. His samadhi is there. This is a siva temple and called vaitheeswaran koil; still there is a habit of patients to sleep in the premisses of the temple for better health. I want to know is there any other samadhies in the name of Dhanvanthri in any other state? R.Vidhyasagar.
Guest guest
Dr Vidhyasagar, This temple is one of the foremost temples in India for healing. The medicinal properties of the water in the temple tank are known to be highly potent- there is a tradition of taking a dip in these waters that have been known to cure several impossible to cure diseases. So Dhanvantari had his samadhi there? Did he not bear the pot of amrita that bestows immortality, at the incident of the churning of the ocean by the Devas and Asuras - too bad for him that he did not take a little bit of the amrita:-). It is not likely that there is another samadhi in some other state (for some reason, most such temples are located in Tamil Nadu). -yogaman ayurveda, r vidhyasagar <dr_vidhyasagar_54> wrote: > In Tamil Nadu there is a temple in Tanjore district where saint Dhanvanthri > is laid down.
