I would think that everything is clean in Alaska. My understanding is if one

drinks gallons of water over longs periods of time, it removes essential

minerals, and throws your electrolytes out of whack. I just stick to half my

weight, which is about 75 ounces, plus my tea, a cup or two a day. I was told

it would get your metabolism up. I don't see any changes there. I am still

fat!! I need to lose at least 30 pounds. You could try putting some calgon in

your bath water, it is a softner, my dad bathed with it for years. It makes

your skin feel like silk.

Regarding the water issue, I remember reading an

article in the paper in the mid 70's about a young

lady in the US who drank over one gallon and maybe

much more. It was so long ago and I do not remember

the amount. I believe she did it for some sort of

"cleansing". She died from drinking so much.

Someone told me that some places like where we live is

not good to drink the water because it contains

inorganic minerals. We live in a place that has hard

water. The bathtub looks like we don't clean it

because of the mineral deposits. When we wash our

hair, our hair is dry and course because of the water.

I read in an Ayurvedic book that it is good to boil

the water first before drinking it. It sounded like

this was to control the minerals. Any comments?
