Unhealthy cows

In modern western milk production - cows are fed a diet of grains and

artificial food (composed animal feed containing non food products

and even animal products) - animals fed a diet contrary to their

prakruti and the traditional ways in which they have eaten for

millions of years can not possibly maintain their health. In america

they recently passed a law that cows that can not walk to their

slaughter can not be used as food. These animals are young and many

suffering from serious disease - obviously people yearning to keep

their health will avoid all milk from such artificaially raised

animals.

Also if we object to milk from such animals then maybe the

p´roducers will raise healthier animals - for economic reasons.

Luckily in America one can buy milk from animals raised in a

completely natural manner - including their natural sexual cycle -

this is very important for the health of the animal.

Avoid cows milk where the animals have been fed animal bi-products at

all cost. It is simply poison .

Dear Vinod:

The cows who are sick are bought up by the pet food industry, or McDonald's to

make hamburgers. Our animals are slaughtered unmercifully, after awhile some

know what they are facing, and actually cry. There are horses again who are

treated without care just to obtain their urine, for menopause medicine.

Euthanized pets and others are also used for the pet food. I believe they call

it capitalism. Not a greedy stone is over turned in this country. Yet, due to

over production of milk, most is thrown away, yet our children go to bed hungry.

Please don't believe everything you hear about America, because it is all about

money!!

Sorry that you misunderstood my letter - my point is exactly what you

have commented - it is money only that drives poor quality food

production.

I am an American and a life time vegetarian and have worked for past

thirty years in the Animal rights movement and studied in depth the

economic and political issues of food production in America and the

European nations. Few countries are really trying to seriously solve

the problem but fortunately economic issues are catching up slowly

with those criminals that produce disease forming foods.

In California where I live it is possible to get highest quality milk

products from a few producers .- we get our milk from a small farm

producing milk according to vedic principles (this is a community of

Krishna devotees who produce the milk for offering to the Lord and

feeding the sannyasi - It is limited production - but actually it is

possible to get good quality milk from very ethical producers readily

in the Internet - in many parts of the country. Dr. Mercola promotes

milk products produced by the Amish I believe - at any rate you can

easily find milk that is properly and even spiritually produced. Dr.

Rubins promotes goats milk and its products from an organic producer -

which it is said has the healthist herd of goats in america.

I apologize Vinod! I suspect they want us to read what we need to hear for the

most part. I don't have much trust anymore in our Government, or the FDA for

that matter! I became aware of the fact that you were from the states, by going

to the message board. I received an e-mail from you, don't know if it was meant

for me in particular, but my computer stopped it because there was a Bagle virus

attached to it. I too am able to get the Amish milk, and milk from a small farm

in Vermont, that is organic.

Were you aware of the cruelty the of the Amish people, on their animals as well

as their children?? They don't live far from me, I could drive to Pennsylvania

in about 3 hrs. They also run large puppy mills. That is another story, for

another time. I live in Connecticut, nothing good ever happens on the East

Coast. I would love to move to California, just for the fresh produce, if

nothing else. I am working on the vegetarian way of life, as I hate to eat

anything that has a face. I just don't know how to make up the proper

combinations, for nutritional balance.

I only added that because you mentioned being an animal activist. I could tell

you some stories, that would curl your hair, and make you cry, as well as get

sick to your stomach.

Sorry, off topic I know. I do buy the Vermont organic milk, just for that

reason.
