Guest guest
Hello, everyone! This is my first post. Nice to be with you! Ok, I'd like to know more about the origins of the Ayurveda, its actual seed texts, and its development throughout. I don't know much about it. I heard many things already like, initially the ayurveda was those Atharva veda mantras for healing, then there's the story of Dhanvantari coming out the milk ocean with the knowledge of ayurveda, then someone told me that the books were written over a period of time, by different authors, from different lines, and focosing on different parts of the medicine (surgery, rejuvenation, etc). I would like to know the head of each line, when the line was formed, which books did they come up with, what is still available. Is there any academic work covering this issue? I'd appreciate either answering straight from your best knowledge or a link to some website who has compreensive information on the theme, or still if you can suggest some reading. At this time I am incline to here more from the "academic" point of view, though I know it can be different from the tradicional, or devotion perspective. Thank you very much, Best regards Marcello Duarte
