ayurveda is practiced and followed by many millions of non-

vegetarians in India and throughout the world. Many schools of

science coming from ayurveda Unnani - etc. use meat for normal health

and medicine.

The concept of vegetarinaism as practiced by modern Hindus is a new

(belived to be around 150 years old)cultural development and in many

places is not practiced carefully - example the south - Kerala has

many millions of Hindus who eat flesh foods.

Vegetarianism for many more millions of Hindus is a religious matter

prescribed by scripture and teachings of the Gurus. Health is in no

way dependent on meat or non-meat. Spritual development is another

matter as the majority of all spritual leaders in all cultures have

followed vegetarian diet.

many western students have never seen the glowing faces of the truly

sattvic people - if they did they would give up all doubts about

vegetarian diet as a valid system of living.
