Guest guest
Dear Shoba, Hope you have already seen the earlier messages suggested by Cybervaidya. Here, you are provided diet guideline. It appears that the diet plays a very important role in several skin disorders. And unfortunately, in most Indian functions, the buffet dinner consists of several incompatible choices. Items made from Wheat and Rice such as: Rice, Pulao, Khichri, Murmure, Chapati, Paratha, Bhakri can be eaten. Cooked green gram, green gram soup can be taken safely. one meal on every Wednesday and Saturday should consist of only green gram cooked. Importance of Wed/Sat from relifious angles. Green gram should be eaten without adding salt. Green gram, Jav or rice should be eaten after storing six months. New grains cool down digestive Agni. Parval(Snake gourd), Bitter gourd (Karela), leafy vegetables such as Tandalja, Methi, Flower, Cabbage, Dudhi (bottle gourd), Dodki, can be taken. Mushrooms, Baingan (Brinjal), Tomato should be avoided totally. Pomegranate, Aamla, Chikku, Apple, Sitaphal are acceptable fruits. Dried black grapes (raisins), yellow dried grapes can be taken. Sugar, Fennel seeds (Badi shep, sonf) Cumin seeds (Jeera) can be taken. Seasame seeds, Groundnuts, salted nuts, spiced nuts should not be taken. Do not use any oil for frying or `Baghar'. You can use Indian country cow ghee instead. Available at certain Goushalas in Rajastan, Maharashtra. Dal, soups, Papad made from Udid (Black gram), horse gram, to be avoided. Avoid curd and tamarind. Fermented products such as Dhokla, idli, dosa, bread, bun, sandwich, pizza, dabeli, Vadapav to be avoided. Most important, avoid items such as onion, garlic, jaggery, celery, mogri, udid, curd, shrikhand along with milk. Milk should be taken alone with at least 30 minutes gap before and after above items. Avoid sweet items which are difficult to digest. Mutton, eggs, fish should be avoided. The summary of above recommendation may mean: avoid all tasty foods. Follow it for two months and see the effect. Regards Dr. Bhate
