Guest guest
Namaste, What are herbs we can use while doing meditation with a mantra? Vasant Lad mentions jasmine(tea or infusion) as something that opens up chakras, helps in mantra siddhi and psychic powers like clairvoyance. I am also wondering if there are any specific combinations of herbs in the classical texts/ayurvedic medicines that are of aid for meditation. -yogaman
Guest guest
Sandalwood essential oil on the third eye is something my teacher suggested for meditation. Lotus essential oil brings devotion and chrysanthemum boiled and drank as a tea brings devotion as well. Krishna tulsi tea promotes a state of peace and is very sattvic (light inducing) - can be drank before meditation. Lavender oil produces a calm and peaceful mind as well if you're coming from a hectic day and want to unwind into your meditation. Hope it goes well! -Michelle --- childofdevi <childofdevi wrote: > Namaste, > > What are herbs we can use while doing meditation > with a mantra? > Vasant Lad mentions jasmine(tea or infusion) as > something that opens > up chakras, helps in mantra siddhi and psychic > powers like > clairvoyance. > > I am also wondering if there are any specific > combinations of herbs > in the classical texts/ayurvedic medicines that are > of aid for > meditation. > > -yogaman > > > ===== Curly Finance Tax Center - File online. I am familiar with using Sandalwood oil. It is recommended to put it at the locations of all chakras(a rather oily meditation:-)) if not at least at the ones whose qualities mean the most to you (eg anahata for selfless love). Other herbs which I am familiar with in inducing a mild trance are hibiscus flowers(a tea) and vacha (acorus calamus). -yogaman
