Guest guest
Certain medicines, in which some role is cooling the body or mind, are prepared during rising moon fortnight. They are exposed to moonlight. For instance, eye-drops used for eye-problems such as infections, reddening, poor eye-sight (higher power of glasses) prepared in Panch Gavya therapy is named 'Chandrakala Netranjan'. Few years back it was produced by exposing it to moon light from fist day of Aaswin Masa to full moon day, 'Sharad Pournima'. The importance of Sharad Pournima in Indian culture is well known. With not being able to meet the demand of this medicine, the Goushalas in India have started preparing it from 1st lunar day to full moon day every month. Ayurveda also mentions the importance of 'Anshodaka', water exposed to sunlight and moonlight. This suggests that Ayurveda fully knew the use of radiations received from extra-terristrial bodies. Also how to balance the basic elements in the medicine with those in universe. Dr. Bhate
