Dear Mr

I am happy to know that you have travelled Tamil nadu and learned music here.

I live at Thiruvarur in the same Tanjor area I belive during your next Indian

trip

you will visit me.

Ballathagi is serankottai. It is called Amirtha Ballathgi and how Amirtha could

be

injurious? It is not toxic to kidney even it is a kidney medicine in some renal

disease.

This tree is Indian and not connected with the modern cashew nut which you eat.

This serankottai during cutting or during consumption may cause allergy,

itiching,

swelling etc. This property could be neutralised by purification process.I am not

explaining the process because it is only for physicions and there are a lot of

enthusiastics and other system practitioners are in the list and they may not

agree

with the process.

The inner oil is acidic ,The shell the oil every thing is highly medicinal,

The acidity could be removed by dipping it in quick lime and could be consumed

added to any formula, in legiyam, gritham etc.

Thanks for asking questions , this has given me an oppurtunity to deliver a

lcture.

R.vidhyasagar.
