Guest guest
what exactly is meant by 'Greens' in one of the recipes, do you mean generally any green vegetables?i.e spinach.... Since bitter is the taste assumed in this case, and 1 inch pieces are prescribed, solid, fruit vegetables are implied. However, one can add leafy vegetables also, if they have dark color. The word 'greens' implies colour must be dark green and not light green. Ayurveda has specified that certain vegetables are very good balancers. The names of vegetables which ayurveda recommends freely for several diseases in Hindi/Marathi/Gujarathi are: Parwal, Dudhi (Louki), Karela, Dodka (Turai), Shevga (Saragavo) The names of several spices, vegetables in nearly 40 diffrenet languages including botanical names in Latin are given on the link: http://www-ang.kfunigraz.ac.at/~katzer/engl/generic_frame.html? Apiu_gra.html You may find that tropical countries produce a variety of vegetables, since they have sunlight most of the year. The vitamins in the vegetables are as a result of those absorbed from earth and produced by exposure to sunlight. Human skin also produces D vitamin that way. Let whole world eat healthy.
