Guest guest
Dear Dr. Bhate, Thank you very much for your kind reply to my post on shirodhara. Do you sell the tables? I did a search on the web and found a site. The client was laying on what looked like a massage table. Attached to the table was a padded headrest above a small area where the oil drained. It was like a square sink. I t looked like the oil drained from the "sink" into a pump and the oil was pumped back above the person. It seems to be less messy this way and would save using so much oil. Is the other way better? Dear Guru Bandhu Khalsa, Welcome back! We have on idea for such equiptment. We use pitcher with hole for doing shirodhara. There is specialised table for shirodhara and we collect the oil from table. Best wishes! Guest guest
Hi I have just joined this forum - it is very interesting and thought provoking. I am currently mentoring a final year Psychology student at Rutgers University on his final year dissertation "Ayurveda Therapies for the Mind" e.g. Ayurvedic treatment for depression, insomnia, panic attacks, Parkinson's etc. I have been trying to find out if there is any research data on Shirodhara/ Shirobasti. To date I have found absolutely nothing. If you or anyone else has any references or other studies please let me know. Many thanks Ray www.ayurvedicacu.com [Attached message deleted by moderator, since unrelated]
