It is heartening to note that a custom under rejection as out-of-fashion, is being revived. Amongst various reasons causing hair loss, lack of hair oil is one major reason. Simplest form of hair oil procedure is as follows: Mix all powders, take 100 gm mixture and add 30 gm water to make a consistent paste. If juices are being used 100 gm juices are to be taken. For pitta prakruti people, “Saptamrut Loha”, made by using following ingredients, can be taken 2 tabs (125 mg each) chewed and swallowed with milk twice or thrice a day. This is recommedned to reduce pitta relevant to hair loss. Yeshtimadhu, Harde, Behada (Vibhitaki) Aamla Loha Bhasma Country Cow Ghee (Clarified butter) Crystal sugar This is a traditional medicine, can be purchased at pharmacies or online. In addition, avoid going out in sun, staying awake late nights. Early morning walk on wet dew bathed grass desirable. If your yoga teacher permits, Sarvangasana, Shirshasana will boost the healing As far as possible, take only milk and sugar for a few days at least. Salt should be avoided. Sour things like yogurt are not useful. Pungent, hot and spicy food should be avoided. Soaked dates/raisins described in earlier messages are also desirable.
