Guest guest
Dear Sathichinnu, In ayurveda, nature and the reasons for disorder are decided by eight different tests on patients. Hence the remedies cannot be dispensed over a computer or telephone, just like OTC drug. In this kind of 'remote' medicine, the risk of misjudging the unknown patients age, sex, prakriti has to be evaluated. The dosage can be wrong and sometimes the problems not disclosed by patient can increase. Blame can come on Ayurveda or Vaidya; despite such warnings by one of the senior memeber of this message board, and several uncertainities, some guidelines have been given in the ensuing paragraphs. It is assumed that boil is accesible for application of a belt or poultice on it. Some simple home remedies are suggested. You may select one depending on convenience and situation. It may take sometime before you conclude that your monthly 'boil' nature is finally treated. This also suggests that the boil could be related to harmone cycles, similar to pimples. 1. Apply Cow-butter on the boil and cover it with cotton belt so that the boil breaks. 2. Put sea salt in boiled onion to make a poultice and tie it on the boil so that it breaks. 3. Grind garlic and black pepper to make a paste and apply it on the boil so that it suppurates and breaks. 4. By drinking Neem leaves juice daily in the morning (empty stomach) clears the stomach and it not only prevents but also cures the boils. The juice quantity (adult dose) should be 10 ml maximum. Start with 5 ml and gradually increase to 10. In case you get vomitting, do not worry. It will clear acids in the stomach. 5. Grind seedless black raisins along with little water to make a paste, apply it on the boil and tie it with a cotton belt so that the boil breaks. 6. See earlier ayurveda message on ringworm. If you have time and energy to make a mixture of herbs given there, you can apply that mixture in the form of sticky paste. The remedies have been given in the doshic order: Vata, Kapha, Pitta.
