Guest guest
> what tests have been conducted to determine if there are no follicles > left? sorry, I made an error here: my question should have asked if there were any ova - the follicles are a group of cells including the ova that undergo growth and development secondary to hormonal stimulation. also, what are her FSH and LH levels like? Has PCOD has been ruled out? I personally don't have a lot of experience with this condition, but do know that there are several herbs used to treat amenorrhea, including Vitex agnus castus (Chaste berry, or probably Nirgundi seed too), 2.5 mL of the 1:3 tincture taken twice daily w/water for at least six months. Other supportive herbs include Shatavari, Peony, Dang gui, Black and Blue Cohosh, Unicorn and True Unicorn root, Damiana etc. Also B6 and zinc. But the AI component needs to be addressed, and thyroid is often out of whack (thereby reducing SHBG). I recommend following a general approach to reduce immunoreactivity, e.g. a low antigen diet, elimination of ama, enhancement of agni/ojas, modulation of immune function. good luck. best...
