Guest guest
oral rehydration is key more children die of vomiting and diarrhea than any other condition, and in most cases can be treated effectively but its important to get her on to an electrolyte solution ASAP here's a helpful recipe: 1 liter of weak Dill seed tea (or coriander, ginger, celery seed etc.) 20 g sugar 1 tsp baking soda 1 tsp potassium bicarbonate 1 tsp salt mix well, and give often if you can't find the potassium bicarbonate try soaking raisins in the hot tea for 15 minutes before adding the otehr ingredient (raisins being a high source of potassium), or use a herb like Dandelion leaf to make the tea, which is rich in potassium alternately you can usually find oral rehydrations packets at your local pharmacy during administration its ok if some is vomited back up, but keep giving it anyway avoid dairy, flour etc., and otherwise give bland slightly salty-sweet foods, e.g. chicken vegetable broth, etc. Caldecott phyto http://www.wrc.net/phyto
