Guest guest
Does anybody has some experience in treatment of polycystic kidney disease. I am in the pre-dialysis phase and wondering if there is something to improve my kidney function? ADPKD is one of the most frequent inheritable diseases, but I can't find anything about it in alternative medicine?? Thanks in advance
Guest guest
this can be a difficult condition to treat, but appears to be directly related to the same metabolic effects that promote insulin resistance and diabetes. Thus, reduce CHOs, increase fiber and quality fats, proteins and above-ground vegetables, and supplement with omega 3s, magnesium and zinc. Specific herbs of benefit include kidney restoratives incl. Shilajit, Rehmannia and Nettle seed. For insulin resistance specifically we have Feungreek and Bitter Melon, and any of the Ginsengs, as well as chromium. free text article on Pub Med, showing the relationships http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi search for: Hjelmesaeth J, Hartmann A.
