Guest guest
I think what you're doing is wonderful. You are taking an active part in your health and you should be proud. As to your questions, you will most likely see quite a lot of changes to your body as well as your mind and soul. These healthy changes may cause some significant healing challenges via detoxification. Being a kapha myself we tend to be a bit sluggish and congested. By eating the ayurvedic way the body will respond by attempting to achieve a new balance. A healing crisis can manifest itself in the following ways: headaches, fatigue, colds, flus, body aches, and more, especially the first few days or even weeks. I would recommend seeing an ayruvedic practitioner to check your practice and to help with your symptoms. Make sure you're drinking lots of water! Also, eat slowly. Chew your food completely. Enjoy your food. Do not eat when upset or distracted. Be thankful for each meal. I also do not believe in a food schedule. Eat only when you are hungry and eat only until you are 70% full. Do not drink lots of liquids with meals. I hope this helps. Kristine
Guest guest
Hello Katrina, and welcome, sweetie! I love it, I am reading all kinds of things that are just blowing my mind!!! I must try the book you bought. I am the same as you on the cusp, but I am more Kapha personality. My books are by David Frawley, very interesting.
