Guest guest Posted November 9, 2003 Report Share Posted November 9, 2003 Following receipe has been used successfuly: Aamla Powder: 2 tsp Sandal Powder: 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp Horse Gram Floor: 2 tsp Fresh curd : 1.5 tsp Honey : 1 tsp Mix everything in the given sequence and adjust consistency by use of curd, so that paste sticks readily. Wait an hour and wash face with lukewarm water. One can add a variety of other natural ingredients; however, this paste is made from ingredients which can be stored and carried while on tour. Aamla, being best anti-oxidant and provider of C vitamin; Honey is rich source of E vitamin; Turmeric is antiseptic; Curd is provider of many other vitamins and moisturiser, Horse gram floor provides proteins, total making balanced and vitality diet for skin. Wash face with water 2-3 times a day and rub skin vigorously with hands. Natural glow is assured in a fortnight, unless the person has progressed Vatic disorder. Do not use any other soap, shampoo. Kamadhenu soap made by using Multani Mitti, Tulsi, Neem leaves and cow products is an exception, opens the pores of the skin, for toxin elimination. You may also apply a pinch of butter/cow_ghee to the face at bed time, leaving it overnight. To get Kashmiri women tone on the skin, eat 4 dates or 8-10 raisin soaked for 2-3 hours in cold water, before breakfast. Dates/raisins should be eaten for at least eight weeks. They cause increase of Haemoglobin, Other than reducing constipation, this balances the harmones also, thus smoothening the skin further. Avoid tea-coffee and take cow milk instead. Since winter approaching, a tbsp of rasayanas morning-evening (like Chyavanprash) will also help. Care is necessary while taking these.
