Dear lifepstv,

Urge to urinate frequently is due to lack of complete

emptying the bladder due to restrictions produced by

swelling of tract or pressure of surrounding glands on

tract. One of the well known naturally occuring

substance for this kind of problems is Shilajit.

Though it is already suggested by other members, I

will like to add a few more sentences.

Shilajit, when taken alone, presents the difficulty of

correct quantity, since it is very potent. Whem mixed

with Guggulam and Giloy, it gives a well known

formulation 'Shilajit Rasayan' or 'Jeevan Pradavati'.

The combination enhances the benificial effects of

Shilajit and also solves many other problems of old

age as it is 'Rasayan'. Since the quantity is

regulated in tablet, the excess is not possible. The

dose is 2-2 tabs, well chewed and swallowed with warm

water or milk. Prefrably after food. Can be taken with

honey also. Causes reduction of swelling of Prostrate

Glands, which cause constriction of urinary tract.

If 'Shilajit Rasayan', not available, any one of two

following, can be taken in the same dose and manner :

Shilajatwadi Vati.

Chandraprabha Vati.

These are traditional, well proven over the time. They

also contain Bang bhasma, etc. to cause free flow of

urine. All three of them have shilajit in safe

quantity. But one should take only one medicine of the

three.

I would like to add Coriander seeds plus a little

crystal sugar to Cumin seed preparation home remedy

already suggested on the board. It need not be soaked

overnight. Even 2-3 hours is adequate. It has a

special name 'Heem' in Ayurveda. This can be tried 2-3

times a day along with above Pharmacy product.

Regards to your mother,

Dr. Bhate
