Dhanvantari is a Devi to the best of my knowledge

and,therefore, a Godess not `Lord'.

Dear Sudha Anand

I posted this message on behalf of Cybervaidya

I believe however that Dhanvantari is a major diety, at least in Ayurveda,

considered

to be an incarnation of Vishnu to teach the art and science of surgery to

Sushruta.

I've also never seen Dhanvantari represented as anything other than a male.

happy Diwali... Todd
