Guest guest
Shankapraksalana is a Yogic cleansing Technique which flushes the entire digestive tract clean with salt water. It has been sucessfully used in the treatment of many ailments such as Asthma and Diabetes and documented in the publications of The Bihar School of Yoga. However for it to be effective it must also be accompanied by the appropriate lifestyle and dietary changes. It is an intensive process and one must be properly prepared before hand. It can take 1- 3 hours of intensive Yogic exercises which left me, a regular Yoga practitioner in my 30's very tired. So it is not something to be undertaken lightly! I was lucky enough to be able to first do it under the guidance of an Indian Yogi who was also a Doctor. David Wells
