Guest guest Posted August 12, 2003 Report Share Posted August 12, 2003 Hi Shalini Most of the time, the inflamation of sinus sites is due to weak digestion caused by inadequate secretion of bile by liver. Many of my patients were cured by taking medicines for liver function restoration along with "Jal Neti". Jal-neti is already suggested by other members on this forum. In case you also feel heaviness of stomach after lunch/dinner, constipation, flatulence, etc. please take "Aarogyavardhini Tab. 2 tabs with warm water after each meal. The Tabs should be slightly broken down by teeth before swallowing. Once the liver functions is restored sinus inflamation also reduces. The adequate secretion of bile neutralizes the stomach acids carried to duodenum, which otherwise rise in the form of vapour to sinuses. In case you are unable to obtain "Aarogyavardhini" an alternative is "Kumari Aasava No. 1" made from Aloe Vera plant. This should be taken 2 tbsp with equal warm water after each meal. Jal Neti with salted water as suggested by other members is also an excellent treatment for all sinus problems. However, should you fail to obtain proficency in using it, and also you are unable to obtain "Anu Tailam" as already suggested on this board, you can put six drops of "Shad Bindu Tailam" in each of nostrils once a day while in resting position. The oil goes to throat. You can gargle with warm water and remove it from throat, since it causes inflamation of nostrils as well as throat. Half an hour resting down with oil in the nostrils allows it to reach properly in the deep tissues. Hope this clears your old problem.
