Guest guest
Could anyone recommend any good books (or other types of resource) that offer down-to-earth advice/guidance on implementing yoga (i.e. asanas/meditation/pranayama/philosophy) into everyday life for the purposes of self-discovery and "transformation"? An acquaintance of mine wants a resource that will help her in all areas of her life. Like most people, she is suffering from that "empty" feeling and is searching for more meaning and content in her life. Is there anything available that would be suitable for the "lay" person...that is, something that is easy to comprehend and not too "cerebral"?? --Diana. Guest guest
Rodney Yee has a good book out on yoga in which conversations between him and his author talking about applying yoga in life. The language in Autobiography of a Yogi is very quaint but the content is amazing.
Guest guest
Greetings Diana The best book I have seen that is easy to understand for integrating yoga into ones life is Yoga and Ayurveda by David Frawley (LotusPress.com). I have been meditating since 71 and I have seen most of the books on yoga. This book covers asanas, pranayama, mantra meditation, and ayurveda exceptionally well. David is also a good friend. Kind regards OneLove
