Guest guest
Bikram or Hot Yoga, as I understand is a particular sequence of Asanas performed in a room heated to 98 degrees Farenheit. This system has been franchised and is currently spreading accross the USA. While I have never attended a class, I would recommend drinking lots of water before, during and after the class. It might be helpful to consider this system in Ayurvedic terms. Such a practice may be helpful for some with a Kapha imbalance, it may not be very good for those with a Vata imbalance and would probably be terrible for those with a Pitta imbalance. Rember "One man's food is another man's poison" and it is not allways wise to recommend something for everyone, better to first understand the individual and their unique needs.
