James LMT, ND, MDAM and the ITTA, International Thai Therapists Association, (WWW.ThaiMassage.Com), for developing Thai Massage as a respectable medical practice in the west. The Thai Gov't in recognition of Dr, James as the first non-Thai Professional Instructor in the US (1986), and for his many contributions in developing world wide interest in Traditional Thai Medical arts, Thai Ayurveda and Thai Culture, bestowed Dr. James the "Friend of Thailand" . This is the first such award ever given on the basis of Thai Massage to a non -Thai.
