FLOWERS IN THE SERVICE OF THE MANKIND

 

So far flowers are used for the welcome gesture and worshipping the

gods and ceremonial occasions.

The medicinal properties of the flowers were recognized by the jain

achraya* thousand of years back and a kind of system developed by

them that can be called as FLOROPATHY.Since times the flowersareused

as the medicines in AYURVEDIC SYSTEM but the jaina achraya prepared

the DIVYA RAS AUSHIDHI* is different and very unique.

We have tried to research on this DIVYA RAS AUSHIDHI* but still can't

consider ourselves equivalent to them and achieved the perfection as

they have.this research which have been started by me to help human

kind.

With the evolution of life and techinique; man is always in search

for survival and cure of the diseases. with the time many system of

the medicines have been developed by the man and but thereare some

people who left everything for the truth and tolerated the pain and

geath even to save even the smallest living organism of the world and

these people are the JAINA ACHRARYA *.

In search for cure and also not to harm even a single living organism

they developed a system what we can call as

1. divya ras aushidhi* or divine medicine; 2.pushpayurveda*or

floropathy

 

ACHRARYA KUNDENDU whose period is estimated in 8th century A.D. had

written a great book "SRI BHOOVALYA" and its wide spread application

in cure of chronic diseases.

All the refrences aretaken from this great book,the original

manuscript is available in Bangalore[india].this book is written in

numbers and exhibit is available and I am not sure I think this is

the only book written in numbers.the script is in kanaad language

[indian state language] .In 1988 after getting this book I started

my research work;this contains 14 chapters and which through light on

the importance of the medicinal properties of the flowers.the

original idea of ACHARYA KUNDENDU was to develop medicine from the

flowers which doesn't have the nectar.it is very difficult to

identify the flowers because there may be the possibility that some

species are extinct and some name of the flowers arechanged since

this manuscript was written in 8th century.

I have done some trials but these are not the random control trials

and specific medicine is given to the person who is suffering from

the disease and effect has been asked from the person.This medicine

can potentiate the action of the other medicines and when this

medicine is taken there is absolutely no need of stopping of other

medicine and there has been no drug interaction which is observed by

me.

The flowers which are used by me are as under:

Lotus[nelumbium speciosum]________blood purifier,all kind of blood

problems,skin diseases

Rose[country rose,rose damascena]_______only the country rose is

beneficial for curing the diseases,brain

problems,photosensitivity,all kind of blood problems,eye diseases due

to viruses,heart problems.

Jasmine[white&yellow,jasmine grandiflorum]____asthma,ear

problems,brain problems,eye problems,leprosy

Sunflower__________speech problems,blood

purifiers,asthma,leprosy,urine problems,liver problems,lung problems.

Pudding pipe tree[Cassia fistula]_________ leprosy,fevers,skin

allergy,intestinal problems.

Banyan[ficus indicus]____________arthritis,gynaecological problems,

Adhatodya vesica__________throat problems,speech

problems,asthma,blood diseases,leprosy,T.B

Gigantic swallow wort__________leprosy,skin diseases,eye

diseases,asthma,cough,piles,gastroentritis

Basil[ocymum sanctum]_________fever,flue,allergy,cough,asthma

Mesuaferia linn_____________asthma,cough,eye problems,brain

diseases,leprosy.

Jasminum ausiculantem________asthma,cough,eye problems,brain diseases,

Horse redish tree[hyperanthera moringa]

_______artheritis,backache,blood diseases,heart problems,cough.

Sadabahar________spondylitis,diabetes,disc prolapse.

 

My belief in Sri Sathya Sai Baba has inspired me for preparing the

medicine and I always said that this is Sai Sanjeevini.The medicine

has been prepared as the directions given in the "SRI BHOOVALYA".

Dosage: the dosage which have been trialed by me is.25 mg and in the

trials I have never increased the dosage more than .25mg. in a

day.the doses can be increased as the medicine has got no side

effects.I have found very encouraging results in some diseases and I

have seen relief in the calf muscle pain in one of my patient in

two doses which are given at a intervan of three days[dose is .25mg

each of three different flowers]

I have given the medicine and also found that compliance of the

patient is poor and most of the patients had come to me after they

have tried all the treatments.so in the last to say that the medicine

is not effective will be wrong;the difficulties encountered by me are

lack of the sufficient number of the patients.And I have taken no

financial assistance from govt. and any other private organization.

I like to say thanks to my father for arranging the great

book "SRI BHOOVALYA". And also to dr. sandeep jain who always

encouraged me and helped me in writing my work and also co-authored

this paper of mine.
