Guest guest
Hi Girish, Shan Praksalana. Colon cleansing. There is an ancient yogic way of cleaning the digestive system. It's very easy and doesn't involve enemas as it relaxes the whole digestive system from throat to .... But it requires strict dieting for a few days and a vegatarian diet for a few weeks. Method After fasting half a day or eating a light early meal in the eveining. The process process consists of drinking between 16 to 25 glasses of warm salted water (0,9% salt per liter) early in the morning and doing a series of specific but easy yoga exercises which has to be learned by a yogateacher. The water flushes the system in a gentle way - you just run to the bathroom a dozen times. When the water coming out below is clean the stomach and throat is relaxed by quickly gulping down a salad bowl full of normal water, which is to be vomitted. Then relax for half an hour . IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO SLEEP and finish the cleansing by eating rice well boiled white rise and plenty of butter or ghee (clarified butter) - to fill up and grease the intestines. An experienced yoga teacher could arrange such a session – DON´t do it by yourself the first time (or at least your teacher should be availably, in case some problems occur. I do it at least 4 times a year. I have done it more than 50 times in all. It has a tremendous effect on the mental a lot of problems are washed out and in the weeks to follow I am very clear minded, level headed, creative and able to go very deep in my meditation. Uddhiana Bandha for developing a strong Navel chacra(Manipura Chacra)- If Manipura chacra is weak you may not dighest the food properly and this may ruin the health in the long run. in addition you may not be strong enough to manifest your ideas and activities in this world in a powerfull way. Any basis yoga book will describe these exercites. However there are some e some photos on this site. www.omcentrum.cz/foto_album/ faaa_bandha_udhian.htm When you are more advanced in yoga you can do the Peacock pose (mayuasana). I minut in this pose might keep your stomach in a good shape for the whole day. If you do it 5 x 1 minutes you will develop a navel chacra (Manipura chacra) as strong like Napoleon Boneparte. Good luck Cristian Christensen Student of yoga and indian medicines.
