The cause of loss of sense of smell can vary from nothing to something very

serious.

One should look for tumors at the base of skull, from where the 2 olfactory

nerves come.

If a cat scan rules it out and it is due to sinus trouble, ashwagandha oil drops

or sesame oil drops in the nose several times a day for several days, might

help.

I am trying to find out if there is a remedy in ayurveda/natural

medicine for the condition known as anosmia (loss of sense of smell).

I believe in ayurveda this ailment is known as Ghrananasa. I have a

dear friend whose mother has acquired this condition and I would like

to help her. They live in Cuba, and some medicines are hard to get

there. But I plan to visit them soon so maybe I can bring her

something. Any suggestions?
