Dear Ayurlife,
Thank you for your

response.
Regarding your points my views are as follows.
1) Not

only in Mumbai but all over India, the percentage of

ayurvedic graduates practising ayurveda is very small, but

is steadily growing. The reasons are many but one of

the main one is that Ayurveda is being accepted by

the society as a whole, which was not the case a few

years ago. Atleast that is what is my conclusion after

having a talk with some of the vaidyas of the earlier

generation.
2) Ayurveda already is a global science. Only we

expect it to completely overtake Modern medicine and I

think that is a futile try. Ayurveda does not mean only

that part which is practised by some particular type

of vaidyas, there are many variations and this is

what makes it a global science.
3) What is the need

for us to prove ayurvedic products on modern

parameters. Why can't we establish ayurvedic parameters on

which our drugs can be tested indigeniouly. Also why

not expect that modern medicine should be proven

according to ayurvedic parameters. Afterall the qualities

of the son are expected to confirm with those of the

father, not the way round.

Regarding group

discussion I have already made my views clear in the

previous message. This club is open to all. So besides

having discussion on the topics you mentioned I think we

should have discussions on various topics. But they

should be in a healthy atmosphere. Nobody should say

only i am correct, all others are wrong.

By the

way you have mentioned that you are consultant to

ayurvedic pharma and also a ayurvedic post-graduate. we are

most happy to have you on the club. Hoping for more

active involvement on you part regarding the queries

from other members. Do post your views on the above

discussion and other queries.

Cybervaidya.
