the Late Sri Lalchand Bagaria, Accupressure Shiromani, in the year 1993, this

institution has conducted 37 training camps, more than 60 free treatment camps,

and is also running 25 free treatment centres regularly round the year

throughout Orissa. It has already trained more than 2500 persons in basic

accupressure and magnet therapy. The organisation is currently working for

the development, research, and promotion of accupressure & magnet treatment to

all irrespective of caste, creed or financial status. More than 500 patients

are treated free by this organisation everyday through its free treatment

centres. The motto of the organisation is to spread the cause of accupressure

and magnet therapy, treat diseased patients, and make people health wise

self-reliant and conscious by imparting training. Besides

Orissa the activities of the OSSS have spread to Bengal and Jharkhand.

Accupressure is emerging as the most sought after therapy after ayurveda and

homeopathy in India. The convinient and highly affordable nature of the

treatment and the amazing success rate has endeared itself to the common people

who are seeking relief from aches and pains and also complex neuro-muscular

problems. Patients of arthiritis and other immune suppressant ailments are

obtaining relief through this non invasive form of treatment. The current

conference is expected to attract over 300 delegates from all over India. This

conference is meant for better sharing of developments in accupressure and

magnet treatment to reduce the gap between the urban and rural mass.

The Secretary of the OSSS, Sri Prasanta Kumar Sahoo, has in a press note

appealed to one and all to cooperate in the mission to "Health for All" by

popularising the science of accupressure and magnet therapy so that an

affordable alternative is available to the rural poor who are in urgent need of

medical attention. Deprived of government assistance this organisation is

dependant on donations from well wishers and benefitted patients. It hopes to

get aid from organisations who are sympathetic to the cause of spreading good
