Remedies for Oily Acne Prone Skin and Dry Hair

I was interested in finding remedies for healing Oily Acne prone Skin Types and dry Hair .

 

My skin is very sensitive and has frequent acne eruptions.This problem has been

for a long time--- Around 9 Years.I've been to many doctors and have not yet

seen a permanent treatment.My skin gets clear only for some months and then

have eruptions again.

 

I am worried if it is a life long problem now since it did not heal for a long

time.

 

I've dry hair and sometime have dandruff problems.I find very interesting

articles in the group and was hoping for some good advice for the Acne prone

skin types and dry hair.

I am trying to give you some information in short. Hope so it is of some use to you.

 

Ayurvedic point of view for acne:-

 

Vata and Kapha are two main doshas, which are involved in eruption of acne and pimples

The oil produced by oil glands is called as meda (body fat). Kapha (one of the

tridoshas) is dominant in meda. The presence of Kapha in oil makes it sticky.

Vata is dominant in skin. When vata gets aggravated due to unhealthy diet and

life styles, it activates the oil glands of skin to secrete more sticky oil or

sebum. Thus the sticky oil or sebum oozes out to clog skin pores .

 

These are some of the guidelines.

 

Dos

 

1. Consume more water and keep your body well hydrated.

2. Wash your face thoroughly with a soap that suits your skin, 4 to 5 times a

day. Avoid excessive removal of oil, as skin needs certain amount of oil to

maintain its natural healthy condition.

3. Wash your face thoroughly after using a make up as some beauty products

block the pores.

4. Consume green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits.

5. Sleep sufficiently for long hours

 

Donts

1. Spicy, dry foods

2. Consuming constipating foods.

3. Squeezing of acne.

4. Too much consumption of soft drinks, tea, coffee.

These face pack can be useful.

 

Face pack:- Aplly two times a day. If possible early in the morning and like 2 hrs before bed time.

 

100 Gms powder

Ingredients:-

 

Raktachandana,Lodhra,

dhaanyaka,vacha

Manjishtha

Chandana, Yogasana

 

Try to do this asana daily. Start with 5 times a day in one sitting and continue

increasing 2 times every day till you do like 10-15 times a day.

 

The Lion (Singhasana)

Description

 

Kneel on the mat and sit on your heels. Place your hands down on your Knees and

look straight ahead. Now breathe in deeply, through your nose, lean slightly

forward and exhale forcefully, opening your mouth as wide as you can shouting

'HAA'. At the same time stretch your tongue out and bend down so it touches

your chin. Glare at the tip of your nose. Raise your hands and tighten all the

muscles in your arms, hands and fingers. Hold the pose as long as you can. Let

all your muscles relax slowly, breathe nomally for a few minutes . Then repeat

2-3 times

Benefits

 

1. Increases Blood circulation to throat and tongue .2. Strengthens face and

throat muscles. 3. Improves voice. 4. Effective for sinus headache
