This group is about medicine and that too

particular illness.

the sufferer collects courage and comes out

with the problem, but here we involve

socio-economic, political and all other

factors with the problem.

Is this posting about ageing wife for real or is it a joke? If not a

joke it is very insulting and uninformed - for any man to blame his

wife for his impotency is simply naive - impotency even though it has

its psychological aspects (as all diseases do) it is not essentially

a psychological issue. If a man does not love his wife that is one

issue but to blame his wife in this matter is no differant than

blaming wife for any other disease issue. Immaturity.

The idea that more Indian ladies neglet their bodies is obviously

rediculous - but as in many communities wrong diet and lifestyle are

followed therefore many women are overweight - but so are the men!

I asked several of my friends what they thought about the assertion

that men are more attracted to looks and ladies to touch - many

laughed at this as they felt that it is the opposite - their opinion

is that men are more contact and touch sensitive - whereas ladies are

more externaly sensitive - frequently being attracted to a mans

facial look or countenance.

All sides I believe are only partially true as the fact is that many

men and women are attracted to another for the same reasons and many

men look for a good body just as some women look for a good body -

attraction for another is based on prakruti. Ones own prakruti and

the other persons prakruti.

This assertions is made by one who has not looked deeply into the

issues. Why would one make a point about ladies losing their girlish

figures as they mature - when one can walk in the street and see

uncountable men that are obese - dirty - gross - etc. Are men allowed

to lose their health and youthful figures without problems but a

woman becomes unattractive as she matures. This is sad and does not

bode well for most marriages.

I read a study some years before done by a Bombay psychologist - he

reported that in middle class Bombay society 66% of married couples

have finished sex by ten years of marriage. Maybe it is attitudes

like the posters which is causing this problem? Actually I would

blame most impotency problems in men and women on diet, stress, apana

vayu problems (mainly circulation), etc. - no doubt psychology gets

mixed up in this but psychology is not the primary problem - the

psychological aspect is just another symptom of declining general

health - which shows up sexualy in men and women as performance

issues of various types.

I believe that one of the primary challenges of maturation is coming

to terms with the multitude of issues that arise as we age. In

married people the changes in the body as time goes on is simply

another of the infinite challenges to love and commitment. I love my

wife more now after 40 years of marriage - the idea that I would

criticise her for aging is childish. I also have never detected even

a hint of rejection from her because I also have aged. Marriage

takes maturity to survive and thrive.
