waiting eyes in the bhajan hall could now rest on divine face and take pleasure

in (seeing) darshan of unique divine form. Swami walked few steps towards His

waiting throne (chair). Swami looked beautiful and majestic sitting on His

throne. After few minutes Swami asked for a table to be arranged, an obvious

signal that Swami wants to bless the devotees with His divine discourse.

Accordingly the table was brought in from the next room and arranged when all

things were set & ready. Swami began His discourse, for the most part Swami’s

discourse was directed towards students but as we all are aware that Swami’s

discourses are universal and the quintessence is meant for one and all. Swami

talked about several subjects: Swami talked about promises given to God and

explained that once a person gives a Promise to God it should be kept. Swami

said everyone was asking me why I was looking sad in the morning, I feel sad

when boys-students behave one way in front of Swami but in

a totally different way once Swami is not around or absent. Swami was looking at

the students sitting in the hall and they all in unison cried out NO no!!!

Swami, Baba… We don’t! Swami also added that of course not everyone changes

when Swami is not around but many do. Swami also said, what worry? I’ve no

worry, but I want the students of my institutes to uphold the fundamental

spiritual & human values, when students behave improperly they may bring bad

name to all the Sai institutes therefore it is even more important & vital for

students than normal devotees to uphold the Sai values and practice them. Swami

also affirmed that God’s heart is pure and only one person is selfless and that

is GOD. He also added that humans are like clay pots, fragile and like a pot

breaks & goes back to its original element; humans too have to merge with

divine one day. On the subject of company Swami said avoid bad company at all

times, besides do not make needless interactions,

keep your talk to the minimum; if some person says Hello just answer with brief

and concise Hi or Hello and that should be the end of that conversation or

interaction. Do not start unnecessary communication with others, that will,

only drag you further into this materialistic world. Swami also touched the

subject of singing Bhajans etc. Bhagavan said that you sing Bhajans here but it

is the movie songs that you actually sing outside, at this point, Swami ‘hummed’

a movie song! Everybody sitting in the hall laughed and enjoyed this unique

divine playful mood. Swami also explained that the Love towards God should be

expressed towards everyone. Each one is god, a beggar is bigger, one must see

God in all living beings. Swami advised all the children to respect their

parents especially the MOTHER Swami praised the role of mother and Swami said

children who do not listen to their mothers cannot be forgiven and it is a sin

not to listen to one’s mother. Swami sad it is, Mother

Father, Guru and 4th comes GOD. He added everything will come automatically once

you pay attention to your mother. Swami said He knows that devotees come here &

suffer lot of hardship in this cold and rainy weather to See Swami. Swami also

said that I am always thinking of my devotees. At around 6.00 pm Swami sat down

on His seat and continued with His discourse until 6.15 p.m. Also, today Swami

was choosing the bhajans to be sung, after bhajans session and evening Aarthi

Swami walked back to His room. *The above discourse highlights are not verbatim
