This time Ugadi is very special for Sai devotees because every body is expecting Swami’s Griha pravesh that is, the ceremony of moving, (in western countries it’s called house warming) to a new home or residence.Festival or an ordinary Wednesday, King of Kings Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s court is always full of activities and festivities. Today Secondary school presented a drama based on the life of Chaitanya Maha Prabhu, a Krishna devotee par excellence. After the play Swami called the lead actor and created a chain for him and put around his neck. Swami was visibly happy with the acting performance of the secondary school students. All the students got a special “reward” i.e. a picture with Swami. Swami specially got up and “obliged” the students to capture the precious moment on the camera. Swami surrounded by the students looked very cheerful. Plays & performances by students are always appreciated by devotees sitting in Sai Kulwant hall because it gives devotees more time with Swami i.e. longer Darshan. Afterwards Swami called the students “blessing boys“, and blessed them, that is, many students sit with trays filled with sweets etc and wait for Swami on their birthday etc. to get special blessings and mostly Swami blesses them. Also today the dance troupe’ with Ganesh (MBA student) performed. After that boys started singing, after 2 bhajans Swami signaled for the Arathi. After the Aarthi Swami called Prof. Anil Kumar and gave him some instructions and left for His residence.Prof. Anil Kumar made 2 announcements about tomorrow’s Ugadi program:1. Ugadi programme will begin at 8:00 in Sai Kulwant Hall.2. Swami is giving lunch to all the students namely girls, boys and faculty members of Swami's university. The Lunch will be served in “modern” style with tables & chairs at poornachandra hall.SBOI - Sai Baba theme: Ugadi e-greeting cardsWe kindly request all our readers to send in their personal experience with Swami i.e. miraculous, spiritual and of Sai Darshan. The first entry in the house at the auspicious moment is called Graha Pravesh ceremony. When the house is ready to be occupied, a muhurta is selected for grihya pravesha which consists mainly of Ganesha puja (Ganapati), The mandala is drawn to invoke the gods and nine planets, which act as witnesses to the ceremony. For any newly built house house warming is considered a holistic occasion. This custom is done so as to keep evil forces away from entering new home. Even after land acquisition, a prayer (puja) is performed which is called as "Bhumi Pooja", top CHAITANYA MAHAPRABHU Lord Sri Chaitanya MAhaprabhu was born in Sridhama Mayapura, Navadvipa in Bengal, on the Phalguni purnima of the year 1486. Born as the son of a learned brahmana, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was known as Nimai Pandit in his youth due to his unrivalled mastery of the Sanskrit Language and the Vedic literature. There was opposition to the movement of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. On the one hand many so-called Hindus objected to the fact that he engaged everyone in chanting the holy name of the Lord without discrimination of caste, religion or social position; on the other hand, the Mohammedans felt that his processions were a threat to their social and political denomination. Inspite of all such obstacles, however, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu established the fact that there is a universal religion for developing love for the one Supreme Lord who is the supreme controller of everyone and everything. The advent of Chaitanya is marked as the beginning of a new era in Bengal. The birth of the cult and the spirit of the REnaissance, almost synchronized with his arrival. The growth of vernacular literature in Bengal got a new fillip with his appearance. Beyond everything, Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was a great lover of humanity. He was a friend of the poor and the wretched. His heart was always full of love and sympathy for them. As a great solac to the suffering soul and a healer to the bereaved, he proved himself strongly anti-communal and a life-long denouncer of untouchability and casteism. top Attachment: (image/jpeg) sai_baba_with_prof._anil_kumar.jpg [not stored] Attachment: (image/jpeg) chaitanya_maha_prabhu.jpg [not stored] Attachment: (image/gif) sai_baba_blue.gif [not stored] Attachment: (image/jpeg) prof._anil_kumar_tn.jpg [not stored] Attachment: (image/jpeg) dashan_near_railing.jpg [not stored] Attachment: (image/gif) newyellow.gif [not stored] Attachment: (image/jpeg) sai_darshan_27th_tn.jpg [not stored]
