commit similar offences again."Sathya Sai Speaks, Vol. XXVI - p338). "When the

devotee touches the Lord, it is like the linking of the negative and positive

wires, which generates divine energy. This connection should be from heart to

heart. Only then will the Divine energy flow from the Lord to the devotee. Then

the Lord and devotee become One. When people ask for liberation, they should

understand that liberation means oneness with the Divine. Become aware of your

divinity. To realize this oneness with God, one has to chant the Lord's name

incessantly. You must pray for the vision of the Lord's feet in your heart.

There should be no room for evil thoughts and feelings."- Baba "There is so

much power in the feet of the Lord that you cannot understand. The Feet form

basis of not only physical frame of the body but also for spiritual and ethical

purposes."-

Baba (A few instances from Ramayana, glorifying the power of Lord's Feet: 1. The

mere touch of the dust of Lord Rama's feet turned a stone into a woman, the wife

of a sage. (Ahalya had become a stone by a curse; the divine touch of Sri Rama

made her again a woman). 2. The Holy river Ganga sprang from Lord Vishnu's Feet

onto the earth.) The feet of the guru or Avatar is the most potent point to

worship, a repository of His divine energy ... all his energy flows from His

feet to the true humble devotee. As a summation, 1. One receives blessings by

touching the Lord's (or Guru's) Feet; this washes away our sins and purifies us

.. Hence, it is said the Guru should be so realized that He can take away the

sins of the disciple and not be affected by it

Himself.2. Touching of Lord's (or Guru's) Feet is a symbol of complete SURRENDER

(leaving everything to GOD's Will). "Have no other thought than GOD, no other

aim than knowing His command , no other activity than translating that command

into action . That is what is meant by surrender" - Baba 3. Touching of Lord's

(or Guru's) Feet removes our EGO and brings about HUMILITY, as it is a way of

humbly acknowledging the greatness of another and dissolving our entire pride

in the divine fire of LOVE.4. It fosters a feeling of SERVICE in the devotee.

Hanumanji is always seen at Sri Rama's Feet. He was the epitome of 'SELFLESS

SERVICE', a true Karma Yogi who worked desirelessly. He served Sri Rama with

pure love and devotion,

without expecting any fruit in return. He lived only to serve Sri Rama. As

Swami says, "Be a servant; a servant of God. Feel that you are an instrument in

His hand. Let Him shape you and use you as He knows best." Bharat, the younger

brother of Lord Rama in the epic Ramayana, was another great devotee of Sri

Rama. When Bharat was asked to rule the kingdom of Ayodhya after His elder

brother Rama was sent to exile, he declined to do so and tried his level best

to convince Rama to come back and rule the Kingdom. After a lot of persuasion,

Rama agreed to rule the kingdom on the condition that Bharat would take care of

it till Rama returned from his 14 years of exile. Bharat asked for Sri Rama's

Padukas and, with His blessings, took them back to Ayodhya and placed them on

the throne as a symbol of Rama's rule. He worshipped them daily and took care

of the Kingdom in Rama's

absence as His humble servant. Since then worshipping Padukas has symbolized the

worshipping of the Lord's Feet. (Sharing With Sai Love) RamRam ChuganiKobe,
