The true meaning of surrender is the recognition that God is present everywhere

and in everyone. The recognition of God in all Jivas is the true meaning of

the word surrender. You should perform all tasks enjoined upon you as your

duty. It is not right to neglect your duty and sit idly, saying that you have

surrendered everything to the Lord. If you have the feeling that all the work

that you do is done to please the Lord, then that is the right aspect of

surrender. To give the consequences of all the bad that you do to the Lord and

take the consequences of all the good that you do to yourself, can never be the

meaning of surrender.
