Guest guest
This story in it's original form was written by Shel Silverstein. It's called "The Giving Tree" It is beautifully written and illustrated and I recommend the original highly. It is available at Amazon.com and most good new or used bookstores. Guest guest
own self in this mundane world. As suggested i shall send it as many people as possible.Incidentally, it reminds me of an incident which happenned in Brindavan. An overseas group came to Swami and pleaded him to lay the foundation stone for a big Old age Home. Swami did not show any interest at all. They pleaded , begged Swami to do so. Ultimately Swami with a smile said" Cant you people understand ? If i have not shown any interest , it mean i will not do it. If i lay the foundation stone then people will say SAI BABA promotes OId age homes which is not the truth. He advised the group , each one of you take good care of your parents and this world will never require an Old age Home at all and that is the truth i seek from your hearts. They should settle in India only and utilize their intellegence and knowledge for the benefit of this Country. Guest guest
their minds that mother-in-laws is equal to mother,faher-in-law is equal to father then everyday will be a joy in every home of Bharatha. thanks for having valuble discussion PraveenKumarSharma Hyderabad.bhaskararao g <gangeyulain > wrote: Sairam, I have seen the mail from Sucharitha Mohan, What she told is hundred percent correct. Now a days the persons who are staying abroad are neglecting their parents because of their jobs and other problems. I have seen with my own eyes recently in one case. A person who struggled all the life and spend each and every rupee on the education of his son and got him settled in USA could not come to India when he had his last breath. Though he came to India later, he refused to perform last rights to his father on the plea that he has no faith in these things. The last rights were performed by another person. As Sucharitha Mohan said, history repeats again and if they become old and if their childern do like this, what is their position then? Here one should not forget our Swamy's words. We should not allow our childern to settle in foreign countries. They should settle in India only and utilize their intellegence and knowledge for the benefit of this Country.
