The grace of Sai by R.Lowenberg (Author)

At Puttaparthi a devotee, at the morning darshan, handed a note to Swami, asking

Him to give me some work in Whitefield. As he took the note from Swami, He said

where is your son? He replied, my son is in Whitefield, “Swami replied ‘Ah!

Whitefield”?

Swami then walked on ladies side and when he came to his wife, Swami said where

is your son? And before she could answer, Swami said, “At Whitefield?

When both met after Darshan they wondered why Swami had suddenly shown such

interest in my son’s whereabouts, and when their friends saw that we were going

by car to Whitefield the next day, they asked him if would like to accompany

join our company. They accepted their offer and drove with them to their home

in Whitefield.

When they reached home but his son was not there. At about 1 p.m, he arrived.

“Well, his son said, you can see that I am in one piece, but I have just had an

accident, and I could have been in serious condition.

I was riding my moped and a runway cow came direct straight at me. I could not

swerved to the left, as there was an auto rickshaw on my left, so I swerved to

the right. I was wearing an old style army raincoat, which had long straps on

the shoulders. As I swerved, the cow came directly at me and kept coming. I

went off the read into a ditch and was thrown off the bike. As I was lying on

the ground, the cow stomped past, inches from my head and she did so, her foot

got caught in one of the shoulder straps, with the result that I was dragged

along as she run.

The rain strap tightened around my throat and I was pulled along as she run for

about twenty yards. The strap finally came loose and the cow ran off leaving me

lying in the mud. I slowly stood up to see if all my bones were intact and found

that apart from my throat being sore, the only other injury, which I sustained,

was a slight scratch on my finger. Where the mother asked? Right to the ring,

which Swami had materialized for me, some time back. (The ring protected him

from Serious accident)

We now knew why Swami had asked us, ‘Where is your son’ How was it possible on

that day, the friends had decided to go to Bangalore and offered to take us to

go together just for that day?

Another of those remarkable ‘coincidences’ where Swami leads His devotees.

A few days later son arrived at Puttaparthi and as father and son were walking

along the road from the college, back to ashram. Suddenly They Saw Swami’s car

approaching. They stopped at the side of the road’ as Swami passed, He smiled

and held out His extended arm with the palm of His hand facing upward in a

strange gesture towards the boy as if to say, ‘Well so you are here, safe and

sound after all?

This is Swami, how He helps his devotees in countless incidences, where the life

of devotees is in danger. Let us direct our thoughts to Swami, only thoughts of

God and intense Love for Him, bring us peace and save us from calamity.

Swami says, it becomes reality only when we practice it intensely. People read

so much, but do not practice all they read, because of too much of this book

knowledge, just lead to doubts and confusion.

Let us create divine consciousness where God alone exits, our thoughts and deeds

must match with our actions in our daily life.

Let us remember what Swami has said. The Universe is a globe. Earth and all

beings are small globes within that. The whole Universe is held in Baba's hand.
